Biography

Dr. Takanari Ouchi received his doctorate degree in Nanoscience and Nanoengineering from the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering at Waseda University in 2011. Thereafter, Dr. Ouchi joined Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a postdoctoral associate and was later promoted to the role of a research scientist. He began his career as a research associate at the Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo, in 2017. Since 2021, he has been a lecturer at the Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo. Currently, he is also serving as a chairperson for the Hydrometallurgy and Electrometallurgy committee at TMS (The Minerals, Metals, & Materials Society).
