On January 10, 2025, The 12th Symposium on Precious Metals was held at the Institute of Industrial Science (IIS), the University of Tokyo. It was hosted by Rare Metal Workshop (Organizer: Professor Toru H. Okabe), Research Center for Sustainable Material Energy Integration, and JX Advanced Metals Endowed Unit. This symposium was without online streaming.
Mr. Yamaguchi Yousuke, JX Advanced Metals Corp., Ltd., Mr. Toki Norihisa, Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd., Mr. Oka Ken, Tanaka Precious Metal Technologies Co. Ltd., Mr. Kenny Hsu, UWin Resource Regeneration Inc., and Mr. Seki Yoshimasa, Heraeus Precious Metals gave lectures on smelting and recycling of precious metals.
A Q&A session was held after the workshop, and numerous experts discussed the various topics. There were about 200 attendees, making it a very successful event. There were also 8 poster presentations, and the discussions were thorough.
After the lectures, participants engaged in lively exchanges during the banquet.
