On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, a tour of the University of Tokyo’s Institute of Industrial Science was held. Approximately 20 students from Zushi Kaisei Junior High School participated in the tour. After receiving a presentation about the Institute, the students visited the Takahashi Laboratory, Kanazawa Laboratory, and Ouchi Laboratory, where they received explanations about the research being conducted. In the Ouchi Laboratory, in addition to exhibits of various metals, they also conducted a nickel platingexperiment. Learning about an unknown field, the students actively asked questions. Learning in these laboratories appears to have been a very meaningful experience for the students.
